In the Presence of the Lord

No matter where you are right now God is near. Regardless of what situation you find yourself in God is near. It doesn’t matter what you feel about yourself and others right now God is near.
God is near! God is near! God is near! We are in the presence of the Lord.
Today we have been given the gift of a new beginning, but if we are not careful it will look like the same old thing. I recently discovered that I was in an –“in between” situation and I was miserable. I could not figure out what was wrong but I knew something had to change. I heard a sermon entitled “The Beauty of the in between”, that had a great impact on me. I was led to see that I was stuck between the past and the future. I was spending too much time looking at past events or wishing for future happenings that I was not in the present moments of life. I was missing out on the opportunity to learn new lessons that God was trying to teach me. Once this discovery was made I received a new revelation. The revelation came from the word NOW.
I had been spending too much time with what might happen later that I missed out on NOW. I was in a waiting mode. You know the one that we can sometimes succumb to:
• I’ll do this when this happens
• I’ll celebrate when I get this
• When this happens I’ll be happy and everything will be alright.
• When I win the lottery
• When I meet Mr. Right
• When I get the right break
• When I lose the weight
• When the bank account is right
• When I have time
• When- When-When
NOW is the appointed time. We don’t have to wait until later to enjoy the blessings of today. We often spend too much time focusing on what we are waiting on that we cannot see what we already have. I discovered that if I focus on NOW I already have what I need. God promises to supply our daily needs. The victory is already mine. Isn’t it wonderful to know that when we allow God to turn things around we can see clearly. The word NOW spelled backwards is WON. We are already winners. We have WON.
Let’s all agree to set our focus on the NOW. We know that we have victory through our LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST who is ever present in our lives•
